Community performance Sunday 4 June. Karen Lane sing Astrud Gliberto

A salute to Bossa Nova. Karen Lane celebrates her love of sensual Brazilian rhythms - bossa nova and samba. That Latin sound that encapsulated the carefree abandonment of the mid 1960's era. Songs by A.C. Jobim, Luis Bonfa and Marcos Valle took off on the wave of the bossa nova craze. Lane's evocative understated vocal style perfectly captures the profound allure of Bossa Nova. She has received critical acclaim for 5 albums released to date and recently featured this repertoire to a sold out Ronnie Scotts in Soho.
